The Lighthouse 2019
I never would have expected so much achol abuse and manipulation to lead to such a ending.
All bits aside its impressive this old folk tale of what isolation of the human spirt away from civilisation does to a man. Stay away from achol and sexually deprived men on stormy islands 👍🏻

Eraserhead 1977
Right I’m not to sure what to make of this film analytically because of how complicated and disturbing the imagery was but yet still found it entertaining nonetheless. I think what brings this film together is the overwhelming mess of the baby and the industrial noises overlapping that doesn’t seem to be acknowledged till the baby drives him to a madness.

The Night of the Hunter 1955
I have been dabbling ok where I should place this film as it is easily a darker film than I expected. The cinematography was a outlier compared to the rest using harsh shadows and lighting in open areas to convey that tension of the fairytale like idea of the relentlessness of greed and sin.I love the underlying religious themes of the killer have love and hate as a concept that the devil is in disguise.
I will rate this film a 4.4/5
