Come and See 1985
The theatricality of the beginning detached me from the rest of the film. The girl’s bad acting and delirious talk in the forest made me feel like I was watching a play. Still, the shot of the whistleblower is etched into my brain. The movie deserves flowers for that. Because it so successfully fulfills itself as a cautionary war film, people need to come and see it.
