War Machine 2017
While the Coen Brothers-esque acting (the film felt often like Burn Before Reading if that movie had the humor surgically removed) was enjoyable (if a bit overdone in a couple roles), the writing was preachy, unsubtle, and seemed unaware that this was ostensibly a satirical comedy. The movie hits its mark about as well as the counter-insurgency program it lampoons.
