  If you make life monotonous for your characters, you better have something really interesting happening for the audience, otherwise we, too, feel the monotony of watching them, which is exactly how I felt the first 55 minutes of this.

  While I quite like some of the ideas it has on youth, loneliness and nostalgia, and while I'm sure I'll be thinking about it for a few days, this just didn't hit for me the way it seems to have for others.

  Linklater shows me that you can make a movie about people just hanging out and make it compelling.

  I don't know how you leave this movie in 2016 and don't see that Glen Powell has vibe of a young Brad Pitt.
