The poetic catharsis in this movie is they went on this tour to connect with their grandmother but ended up connecting more with each other.
This movie is a thinker. Not a turn your brain off movie. Great performance by Culkin. I can see why this won him an Oscar.
This is, simply put, the kind of movie that movie theaters were made for. When going to the movies was an event and you planned your week around it. Just a cinematic master piece. My generation’s version of Star Wars/Lord of the Rings. This is a movie you see in theaters more than once. I feel incredibly blessed I got to see this and Oppenheimer within a year of each other and experience the magic of cinema again.

Well, that was a fever dream of a DC comic movie… Didn’t hate it, didn’t love it. Very meh of a movie if there ever was one. If you’re going in expecting an action movie, you’ll hate it. If you’re going in expecting a character study like the first movie, you’ll be disappointed
