  Much better than I expected it to be. Catchy songs with great choreography. The set design and story are strong. Despite it being too long, Erivo and Grande are perfectly matched and keep the energy levels high.

  Powerful film with layers of depth which likely require multiple viewings to appreciate. Uniquely and effectively shot and edited, with many beautiful scenes. Well casted, just wish the story was a touch stronger.

  Carried by fantastic art direction and great performances throughout, including both actors that played Sam. Fantastic cameos by Judd Hirsch and David Lynch. At its best when focused on Sam’s work. At its worse when it turned into every over the top high school drama.
