Green Book 2018
Even if you ignore all the controversy, Green Book is just simply boring, unfunny and feels like it was made in the 1990s.
How this won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2019(!) - over Roma, over The Favourite, heck basically over any of the other nominees (well, maybe except for Bohemian Rhapsody) - baffles me.And I know it's supposed to be biographical but both leads were just obnoxious and insufferable throughout the whole film.

Baz Luhrmann - probably the most maximalist filmmaker since the golden days of the old Hollywood studio system.
