An improvement over the first part. This movie deals with the length of Dune as source material better than Part 1 but still has to drop lots of important bits.
This is best shown with Paul and Stillgar's relationship. Paul's line of "losing a friend ans gaining a follower" is said in the film but Stillgar believes in Paul as the Lisan al-Gaib much more overtly and so it comes off flat. It never feels like Paul has any friends…

This is a movie I so desperately want to like more than I do. It's good, yeah, but it doesn't come close to the first half of the novel. I like the visual design of the technology. It is well thought out and looks unique in the current CGI Landscape.
