The dialogue and the characters are pretty awful, plot was not bad, but I liked the concept and overall it was worth it for the payoff. Also that house is so damn cosy, I need more warm lighted lamps.

Unique and interesting premise but the overall satire fell a bit flat for me. The comedy just wasn’t strong enough and it felt like too many plot points were thrown in without any real consequence. The performances were great though, Toni Collette and Robert Patterson being the standouts

I’ve never been a huge fan of Lynch’s dreamy symbolism, but I love the atmosphere he creates. Everything is so uncanny while also appearing so mundane. But when it gets weird, it’s gets fucking WIERD! There was a quite a few moments where I burst out laughing from the pure absurdity of it. I think this one will definitely need a rewatch to fully appreciate
