*sooilers* Funny, had me like rolling at times. there was a money shot of film for like 8 minutes when mickey 17 goes for dinner and goes back to his room and confronts mickey 18. I wish that dynamic could have lasted longer - they kinda pushed through it so fast then the rest of the movie was all about the aliens and the ship rather than just about the mickeys. I guess I was just annoyed anytime screentime was taken away from Robert Pattinson because he was sooooo good - I’m now a big fan, he was awesome!

Gladiator II 2024
Seemed like too much. Something about it being from 2000 years ago yet having CGI didn’t mix. But not a bad theatre experience and Denzel Washington was funny. Expected a better movie outta Ridley Scott.

The Great Dictator 1940
Imagine watching a mister bean movie except mister bean is a Jew during WW2. And imagine mister bean gives a one of the best speeches about human nature and human ideals to a crowd of Austrians and Nazis. It makes me wish Forrest Gumps’ Mike didn’t cut out during the Vietnam protest, I feel that was a missed opportunity. The mock German language grew a little tiresome, and I doubt it helped the movie gain momentum within German crowds. For 1940, great movie. Also Hannah is pretty bad.
