Low-budget horror trash at its unintentionally funny (I think?) finest!
I gather this movie was originally filmed in Spanish and then rather poorly, but hilariously, dubbed into English?
Full of surprisingly believable gore (they apparently had a connect that worked at a slaughterhouse), an abundance of gratuitous T&A, and plenty of "WTF?!" moments you can't help but laugh at: if you're into shitty horror that's so bad it's good, this one's for you.
What better way to spend a rainy Labor Day than sitting in a theater, drinking beer, and watching a Steve McQueen sci-fi classic?
Low production values, dated effects, and the over-acting characteristic of the era; yet I wouldn't change a thing—a truly entertaining B movie.
An experimental reworking of the 1995 Stephen King miniseries The Langoliers, which was literally printed out on copy paper, frame by frame, and then painstakingly re-animated like the world's most ambitious flip book.
The result is an unsettling and effective feature-length film incised from the bloated corpse of its 3-hour progenitor.
The third movie I saw on $3 Cinema Day and probably my favorite of the bunch. I only saw this one for the first time earlier this year at the behest of a former roommate who couldn't believe I'd never seen it. We put it on, cracked some cold ones, and I was all in from the first scene.
Since then I've had the opportunity to see it twice in theaters and it just gets better every time. The cold ones are a necessity though 🍻
