  i found the first half or so of this movie pretty boring, which is surprising giving the fact that i went in excited to watch a black and white movie about leonard bernstein. i’ve played/sung his music before so i was thinking this movie would focus in on the music making aspect of him. interestingly, it was more of a portrait of a marriage, with music playing a role in one of the main characters lives.
