    These lads are talented.

Enjoyable from start to finish, nothing ground breaking but really well made. In fact, so well made that you’d consider learning some Irish. Respect that nothing was compromised in trying to make the film too international. Songs went hard as per.

Kind of want to take vitamin K and get on a bus now.

    Really surprising.

The atmosphere in this movie is top tier, I’m not sure if it’s the colour grading, the costume design or location but every scene has feels both warm and cold, Autumnal, as if the heat that was once there is slowly dissipating. This is a feeling which reflects the tone of the movie, where Nicolas Cage plays a humble truffle farmer whose life was something much grander.

The fact a film this good can be shot in just 20 days with almost no budget is incredible. John Wick wishes it was this movie. Highly recommend.

    RIP Portland/10

A beautiful swan song for an incredible film maker. Animation, creativity and world building on par with the best.

With this final film Miyazaki reflects on his impact on the world and comments on how total control and perfection is often the enemy of good.

The usual bumps in the storyline typical for a Studio Ghibli movie, but as with all their productions, the artistry and creativity more than makes up for this.

The first time I watched this movie I thought I got it. I rated it 8/10 with minor complaints on the seemingly convoluted direction that the story is told in.

Several years later I have came back to rewatch it, remembering nothing from my initial watch. I watched this sick while travelling, at Christmas and after a not too distant breakup. Needless to say, it hit differently.

A beautiful story which explores romantic relationships from several different perspectives in an…
