The Menu 2022
The Menu is a highly suspenseful movie which captured what it is to lose passion in something you loved. Whilst the movie is eery and very tense, there are moments of relief which enabled me to reflect on what’s happening (I won’t spoil it).
A problem I found with the movie is that the ending wasn’t powerful enough. It sort of glimpsed at freedom but then a nonchalance at the same time which left me feeling a little underwhelmed.

The Swimmers 2022
The swimmer is an unbelievably great film. It depicts the real story of Yusra and Sara Mardini as they struggle as refugees.
It is a powerful movie and from the get go depicts a warm and homely scene. As an audience member you immediately liken yourselves to the characters and think ‘oh this is nice’. However, later in the movie it depicts the struggles of living as a refugee and fighting to survive.
