I absolutely love this movie. I was shocked to see such a great film have such a low budget, but I think that adds to the creativity needed to drive such a great work of fiction. The draw upon stereotypes present in coming of age films and noir movies is what elevates this movie for me. Doesn’t really feel like a Guy Ritchie movie, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. The first part of the movie had some of the typical Ritchie aspects, with witty dialogue and converging plot-lines, but then it turns into a standard action movie- but one I enjoyed nonetheless.
