Perhaps it’s because my expectations were so low, but I actually didn’t think this was all that bad. It’s completely unnecessary, and the character animation doesn’t always match up with the vocal performances or the dynamic camera movements. But overall, for a piece of corporate product that I totally buy was only created to retain the rights to Tolkien’s work, it’s alright.
