This has got to he one of the best Gothic stories I've seen in a long time. Certainly the most truly Gothic.
Each shot is a painting - from the carriage ride, to the various uses of Orlok's shadow, and in these, the homages to Murnau are so tasteful. He is everywhere, be it in the shots that are direct mimics (there are very few, but only the eagle eyed Murnau fans will spot them), or in the overall tones.…
