An amazing performance from Jackman, who looks almost unrecognizable with a new haircut and a hunting jacket.

Wow, can the Coens make a movie. No one blends the absurd, tragic, hilarious, depressing, and quaint like them. In no other movie would I feel the sadness of an innocent garage attendant’s deaths paired with the hilarity of Steve Buscemi’s scheming.
Each character’s motivations make sense and match their characterization, but not in predictable ways. Instead, the film thrives in the unexpected, and seems like a slightly more refined version of Miller’s Crossing.

Pattinson and Collette deliver awesome performances, with Pattinson especially elevating the movie in the first third, mostly with physical humor and some great vocal/facial control. I’m not a big Ruffalo fan and I thought he was pretty mediocre.
