Not the most depressing prison drama I’ve ever seen but quite a solid story.
“Crims” is a cool word.
Oh, hell yeah I love this rock solid time loop story. Starts out like a sitcom and ends like an acceptance of depression.
Beautifully designed to reward rewatching.
Knowing it’s a Kenneth Branagh film the opulence is expected. The surprise is more in the speed, the pacing specifically, of the story that is crammed into 2 hours. It feels oddly relentless. Especially with all the elaborate camera moves. Somebody showed Branagh a 360 degree steadycam shot and that might have been a mistake. At one point I even checked if I had the playback at 1.5x speed because everyone was talking like they were going to die if…
