A fun movie, if even simply as a study of insufferable personalities. It felt like every commenter in the average subreddit had full representation here. And, although preposterous, I think it did deliver its message about the importance of originality, honesty, and thankfulness. Hopefully we can all (myself included) be more okay with hearing the words, “Thanks, but it wasn’t for me.”

This movie feels like an AI watched twenty subpar western films, incorporated every trope into a screenplay, mixed up all the scenes into random order and then removed 90% of the action scenes when it was done. Despite a few nitpicks, I think this movie turned out great. I expected dog water going in so I was very pleasantly surprised when it delivered a good rendition of the well-beloved broadway musical. The highs for me were as follows:
Fiero was perfectly cast and delivered my favorite performance of the movie.
The designers outdid themselves on costumes and props.
