A movie you start to appreciate more the longer you watch. You learn the things that initially make Cleo appear vain or self-centered are reflections of her lived experience. She notices every mirror. She plays her music in public spaces whenever she can. And she wants people the notice her, but only on a superficial level. I enjoyed the portraits of the people she encountered throughout the afternoon, showing that her conflict has allowed her to see the individuality of others and thus begin to understand the idea of intimacy
