I loved this. Bold, exciting filmmaking. Brady Crobet is in my favourite movie of all time (Mysterious Skin) and he continues to impress behind the camera as much as he did in front of the camera.

It loses half a star for the use of AI. Not cool.
PROS: Great score, some good performances esp. Pam Anderson and the girl from Mad Men
CONS: Weird blurry lens, terriiiiible screenplay, too short, a director who has a vapid nepo baby perspective that doesn't understand ordinary people
It perpetuates lazy heteronormative relationship structures: under Button's poor direction Virginia is totally unaware of herself as a sexual being until she meets the headstrong Vita. Which isn't true. Yes, she was awkward, but unsexual? No. The film depicts Vita essentially as stand in for a man. It's Awful. Truly.
Watched with young nephew recently. Shocked at how awful it is. Could this be the worst Disney film?
