I finished watching Hereditary last night at midnight, but just until now I’ve gathered all my thoughts about it. That’s the first plus for the film; how it lingers and unsettles even after it’s over.

I have to say, it took a long time for me to gather the courage to watch this, because after watching the trailer and reading some reviews, the expactions about how terrifying it is supposed to be were overwhelming.

And the film delivers on those…

It’s time for Miles Morales to shine indeed!

Loved everything about this! The Spider-gang, the visuals, the music, the story. It’s all there, wonderfully packed.

This is a feast to the eyes, and a wonderful gift to fans of Spidey and superheroes altogether.

Ever since I saw the first stills and teasers for it months ago, I knew this film was going to be something special, and I have been looking forward to it like crazy. Now it’s here, it’s truly amazing, and can’t wait to watch it again.

This is an epic, sometimes surreal journey into madness. It's stunning to look at. It's super sweaty.

I watched the Final Cut version and now I'm curious about the original version's length, what it's "missing" and how it compare. Perhaps I'd like it even more.

    Sharply hilarious, cathartic, and unsubtle.

Robert Pattinson is delightfully weird and funny. At first I wasn't digging the voice-over narration but very quickly he made it fun and worthwhile. Maybe my favourite performance of his so far.

Naomi Ackie is utterly brilliant and engaging as well. She delivers a deeply satisfying, explosive take-down of an argument that had me like that "sicko looking though a glass" meme; "YES.. HAHA... YES!".

Ruffalo and Collette were maybe a bit too over-the-top but…

Even though I was a bit ill / not feeling super well, I didn't want to miss the chance to watch this on the big screen - they're only showing it in theaters for a few days here!

I'm glad I went. It truly has Del Toro's style all over it.

Textured in a way only stop-motion can feel, this is beautiful to look at.

As heartwarming as it is heart-wrenching. Also, sharply funny in the right moments.

A sometimes-painful but ultimately beautiful exploration of the monstrosity of man and the humanity of "monsters"; of the miracle and tragedy of life.

    It's a gift.

This is the first film I’ve watched in the cinema since the lockdown ~5 months ago. Decided to go to a 11:30am screening hoping that few people would attend. In the end there were like 7 others in there. All the time I was wearing a mask.

I’m glad I went. I had fun with the spectacle of the movie combined with the excitement of just being in the cinema again.

But this is a mess of a film.

    It’s…
