It’s not perfect, but you can’t make me hate it. It’s unabashedly earnest, vibrant, and full of life which almost makes it feel “old fashioned.” Many modern VFX-heavy blockbusters feel sarcastic, dull, and lifeless in comparison.
Goes to show that James Cameron’s just got that X factor.

Look, I understand art for arts sake. I understand pushing boundaries. I understand sexuality is part of the human experience. I even understand the use (and even need) for exploitation and shock value. I am completely against censorship, and I feel every filmmaker should be able to tell the stories they feel needs telling.
But this movie is just rotten.
It feels like this movie is trying so hard to push boundaries that it leaves behind any semblance of good…
