If a production company approached you and told you to make a movie called “Cat People,” what would you create? Amusing transatlantic accents, creative shadow work, & interesting commentary on assimilation and female sexuality, but it needed more — more cat fights! More blood! More death! More spook! And, for Christ’s sake, give us a close-up cat makeup scene!
