The Devil All the Time got a lot of flow to it. As things go forward is really interesting to see how photography  and art direction are always on point with the perspective of the characters and their relations with their surroundings, like the use of stationary angles in brighter, more optimistic scenes, in oppose to more camera movement in conflicts and chaotic moments (not a coincidence we see a lot more of that, as the movie goes on). Most of the movie is obviously focused on  Thomas Newton, an alien who fell to earth and is trying to comeback to his home planet and his family. Even though, this is Bowie’s first attempt as an actor, his work is actually very decent, bringing a lot of good scenes, usually in the half-end of the movie, since Tommy only starts to evolve emotionally after around one hour of screenplay.
