  There is a scene with only the two Mickeys present, wearing identical clothing, that flips 180 degrees partway through. You are at no point confused as to who's who.

  Great movie, great to see multiple times what with all the scenes where there's a shit ton going on in a given space that sort of fight for your focus. Very rewarding rewatch. Bong must make movies until it literally kills him such as I mandate.

  "sorry man that sucks"

  Just when the ironic detachment gets to be too much, just when you're ready to write the movie off as "camp set up on astroturf", a relatively banal scene in a car about halfway through reveals the movies actual greatest trick and you'll go "ohhh that's what this is about, okay."

  Despite all the drama and rumors and controversy, it is so nothing. Sanded down and as painless and unambitious as possible. Made to be palatable, made to be digestible and forgotten which is the absolute worst kind of fucking thing you can possibly ever make and release.
