A Real Pain 2024
A story that shows that we need not understand someone, or even relate to them necessarily before we can love and care for them. Two great performances of equally but differently manic individuals trying to find their place at the tail end of a story of intergenerational and cultural trauma. While Poland serves as a refreshing backdrop for this familial adventure, I wish that it had been made more of a central character itself.
