The concepts aren't bad but the execution's a bit off. Feels like it's trying to pull of Interstellar but instead of Matthew McConaughey in a post climate change Earth it's Adam Sandler with a sentient space spider and also he's from Czechoslovakia which is the worlds leading superpower.
Just a little too weird overall to be taken seriously.
Actually pretty ok. The main demon is genuinely scary at times, though the climax was kinda dumb but I guess that's par for the course with Evil Dead.
Not many films can pull off a slow burn tragedy like this. The whole time you're watching you already know how it ends and all you can do is sit there and watch each and every decision and event that leads to an ending you wish would change. And the real kicker is, it could have been different. It *should* have been different. But it's not and now you're gonna cry about it.
