Even though it's obvious almost from the beginning who will end up being pope the road there is really enjoyable and elegant. I really like the twist at the end as well. The acting, cinematography, the editing and the pace is just superb. But as a person that values being surprised the fact that I knew where it was heading the whole time brings it down a notch. But I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this movie.

I am kind of shocked how bad this movie is. There is so many things that are missing. First of all, it has no emotional gravitas at all. I don't understand this movie at all. What I mean by that is that usually when a movie wants to hit point A, B and C it puts some legwork to get between each points in a way so that you as an audience member can understand. You might not agree or sympathize with it but at least you can understand it.
