Nosferatu 2024
A film that gets better every time I watch it. From the lighting, costuming, camera-work, production, acting, narrative, and music, this delivers on what the 1922 original promised- A Symphony of Horror. Going out on a limb here and calling it right now, this is the film that will outlive Eggers. Only thing that could top this for me personally is another cinematic entry in the Vampire Hunter D universe.

Civil War 2024
There’s some imagery here that is seared into my retinas and scenarios that will likely haunt me for years. Scarier than any 28 days/years later script Garland could concoct, this movie not only excels on a technical level but thankfully, more than makes up for the large misstep that was Men. Really hope this isn’t his last project directing cause I was locked in from start to finish, just hope he returns to his horror/sci-fi roots again.
Also shoutout to A24 for essentially marketing this like avengers infinity war just to rope people into watching a harrowing character study about the atrocities of war.
