“The most romantic stories of all time are doomed.”
Heart Eyes is better at being a rom-com than a horror movie ackshualy. Its leads are cute and share a cozy chemistry but it doesn’t know how to build suspense, rendering the scares mostly moot. Love Hurts 2025
This film is littered with over-the-top Jackie Chan-esque action sequences. So over the top, that the entire film feels like a live action R rated cartoon. It’s also a shame that a decent cast wasted on a plot that feels like it was made up on the spot, but in a turn your brain off kind of way it was enjoyable enough action comedy film that’s at least conveniently short.
