Gia Coppola really knows how to film an aesthetically pleasing movie.
I love Pamela Anderson and so I went to the cinema to watch her, this movie did make me sad because themes like the discarding of women as they get older and “losing their beauty” is usually shown a bit more subtly, and seeing it so blatant in an industry that’s based entirely on that, to a character who’s so sweet and fragile, I guess just made me sad. …
Gonna start off with the fact that this movie is not as horny as the reviews said it was going to be.
And I really want to go to Mexico now.
I absolutely loved this as a coming of age movie, it covers so many dynamics. It starts with simple class differences and goes into age gaps then develops into more. So cliche but everything felt so raw, the sex scenes were awkward, the arguments, context given by the narrator,…
The longer the movie goes on the more shallow the story line/characters become, but that’s what makes it such a fun movie. I feel like this movie ran the ‘eat the rich’ story line in a perfect way with enough layers of comedy and almost obscenity at times.
Everyone says it could be shorter but honestly I didn’t even notice the 2.5 hour length.
