    The Killer

Good premise, interesting way of telling the story through explanations and “interior” monologues. Unfortunately the plot hardly keeps you glued to the screen and personally I perceived it as lacking in pathos. Some aesthetic choices thrown in for no reason and unfortunately an epilogue that leaves a bit of a bitter taste on a film that already has difficulty getting going.

    The Monkey

    ★★

The expectation was for a “light” horror, maybe ‘cause its nature, or ‘cause of the protagonist, the movie is more silly than anything else. Well, definitely too silly, without a real plot. Maybe something sketched on a paper napkin in a fast food restaurant. More “daje” laughs than anything else. If you don't want to see it because you think it's scary, don't worry. Give it a try…but not in a cinema, and just for a “there’s nothing else to watch” moment.

    ★★½

I have always been fascinated by the saga represented by "Planet of the Apes", but this continuation struck me in particular.
A good CGI performance cannot be taken for granted nowadays, as unfortunately we see really bad products, while this was truly a joy for the eyes.
The story has an excellent rhythm, it alternates very well between excited and action-packed moments with more reflective and dialogue-based ones, among other things moments that still leave you thinking a little, why…
