DID allegory strikes again!! Also! So sad they missed out on my favourite, arguably most important reveal from the book. Dafuq? That being said, good adaptation, it didn't offend me!

put this on as background noise while i played minecraft but i kept having to tab out to play back many scenes. and not in a good way.
the acting, the line delivery, the messages being pushed by the dad, the situation with both the kids, the weird mom for no apparent reason . it was all so jarring. bare jarring film that would do better as a campy comedy taking the piss out of itself. instead, it takes itself too seriously for the quality of the acting and the writing
