So first of all, Robert Pattinson is amazing, like seriously, he’s incredible. Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette also seem like they are having a TON of fun with this.
That said, this movie is kind of a mess. Seemingly important characters just disappear, the entire focus of the main plot just changes for some reason, and there’s also just a lot of weird goofy humour that just felt forced and unnecessary?
This isn’t bad by any means, but it feels like it wants to say something and just never does. Very strange film.
100% worth watching just for the performances alone though. #TeamEdward

The Brutalist 2024
I have never seen a movie that left my mind racing like this one.
The first half features some brilliant, subtle storytelling, while the second half relies too heavily on ham fisted metaphors and questionable plot points. It really seems like it’s going to pull together at the end, only to miss the mark.
Visually, it is one of the most stunning things I have ever seen. The are moments from this movie, like the opening sequence and the end…
