A disappointment. After multiple recommendations from different viewers…who suggested this was a good watch. A mix of horror and comedy - this fell flat. It had spurting moments, but by the end it could not be revived. I waited patiently for this to prove me wrong but I wanted more. It felt forced. A Quiet Place: Day One 2024
Loved the first one. It was a director/lead combination hard to beat. Was excited for the next chapter in the Quiet Place universe. It was entertaining enough. I don’t think much happened throughout the story. Frankly the cat was one of the best parts. Always felt myself rooting for him throughout. Hard to feel connected to the characters and the story build up for Sam was a bit underwhelming in terms of the writing. So much creature action which can take away from some of the suspense. Perhaps by design? Good for a Saturday night. Hoped for more.
