”We’re gonna throw caution to the wind :)"

He is content. He collects his materials, and he’s at peace.

"This plaster... is a really, really, great thing to use."

We stir plaster in a bowl, mix multiple colors to find the perfect grayish blue. He lights a cigarette, and then another one, and he longs for a girl to be by his side in that very moment...

    "That is a beautiful color!"

sort of an ideal little side project. part museum exhibition, part self-portrait/career retrospective/thesis of ~the moving image~.

reclaiming the gaze of the gods!

digital filmmaking/image-making can leave us feeling blind, a perpetually and never-ending stream of montage, no longer leaving any time to even blink. our eyes dry out from the excess, from all the monotony and the contradiction. we simply do not know where to look, but maybe that's okay? when have we ever known for sure?

Honesty is a choice anyone can choose at any time?

an undeniably great pop star documentary. excessively cocky in the most appropriate of ways. opulent & glossy. it feels no pressure to be “about” anything other than a celebratory presentation of its subject and her team: madonna and child(ren).

"but you knew you wanted to be a star."

a pop star who actually loves being a pop star (a rarity in today's performative "relatable" culture), disconnected from her true identity and proud of it, perhaps relieved.
