moments of standout big screen spectacle. body horror and development that match the original. trash fan service. treats the audience like simpletons. ever heard “show don’t tell”? reminded me more of the aliens arcade game than any movie. cast playing charmless teenagers. desperate need for an edits.

some of the criticisms around this movie just making me feel dumber by association
you can have a movie set in america that’s not about america or current events
in this case it is clearly about america. but not american politics it’s so obviously about the lens we view other countries and conflict zones and how we that media is made and consumed
or maybe there’s a better interpretation but i haven’t heard it yet and this is certainly not that. at least listen to the damn writer/director
