  Love Lies Bleeding 2024

  So much to unpack in this movie. And I could watch Kristen Stewart drool over a bodybuilder love interest any day. 

  In some ways I feel the movie could have been more impactful if there were less themes at play - but this movie had desire, money, power (or empowerment), family, love, and violence in the mix. And, don’t forget drugs that make you wonder if certain parts of the movie are real or imagined - which I thought was a very fun thing to watch even if a little gimmicky at times. All in all engaging, and would watch again.

  Great timing, tension, action, acting and believable characters. I really enjoyed this movie that explored a lot of themes around love, objectification, connection, frustration all while enjoying the ride of how the goals of each character collide and unite in unexpected ways. 

  The shots of Igor and Anora were so fun, and somehow I felt myself rooting for them from the start of their hilarious and raw first meeting.

  Loved this story through and through, and especially love how thorough and full of a story it is. A lot of shows would’ve ended earlier or not revealed the full conclusion - that’s not the case here. Both main actors were also a joy to watch.
