love love love this movie. usually i dont like when the really happy moment happens right at the end and you dont see anything after it, however i felt really satisfied at the end of this movie. i think the characters were very well rounded and human, and it showed the realistic messy side of life while still conveying meaning within it. the ending is no exception; it was realistic while also being extremely sweet and romantic. love jennifer lawrences portrayal of tiffany, she was perfect for the role.
i can appreciate the style of the movie as an art form, but personally i didn't particularly enjoy the cinematography and editing of it. most of it felt really chaotic and all over the place. however i think it gave a good look into elvis's life and i did really appreciate the storytelling of it.
love this movie for a lot of the same reasons i love every a24 film. it was definitely a slow-burn, and at some moments i did get a little bored but as soon as i did the film added something new that made me interested again. i absolutely LOVED little ada by the end lol and was so sad by the ending as well, however i did get the message of it. the underlying theme about motherhood was really interesting.
beautiful cinematography as always for a24. didn't hate it but it just kinda felt like nothing really happened the entire time. mainly enjoyed it for the cinematography, not so much for the plot.
