    Stanley Kubrick being Kubrick. The film was overall wonderful, well written, filled with (at the time) hot button issues, as well as wonderful satire

    Despite thinking this movie was focused around Dr. Strangelove from prior knowledge, I was surprised to find it was not, nor would it have been a good idea to have it been.

    So many movies since the 60s focus on either the nuclear topic or rouge men deciding the fate of the world. However, it was wonderful to watch the original trope popularly established by Kubrick with this film, though it may not be THE first piece of media to do it

    Watched in part for a survey course of the Cold War impact on movies

    Despite being film noir and filmed during the height of Korean tensions and Stalin’s aggression towards the US, the film holds its weight in the modern day. Very watchable, pulled me in like a good thriller/mystery. 

    Regarding themes, it is picture perfect example of how media influences the population, such as like with War of the Worlds. However, the themes are more overt and not in…
