I saw this alone on a Tuesday night on a spontaneous solo movie watching outing. Felt like the film equivalent of a warm drink.
Also it’s insane that this is Dominic sessa’s first film (!) I feel like we’re going to be seeing him in movies for a long time.

Love and Monsters 2020
“Don’t settle. You don’t have to. Not even at the end of the world.”
This is fairly mindless Sunday night viewing but — (a) it has a great dog, (b) it reminded me why I spent 2012 and 2013 with a fairly predictable and intense crush on Dylan O’Brien, and (c) what can I say, I’m a sucker for any story about how the real Love Story is learning to Love Yourself and grow from your discomfort.
(Also the character design is incredible in that — I hate all amphibians and was suitably disgusted by all of the creatures for the better part of 2 hours.)
