  Ignore the racist movie poster. The stilted acting & awkward camera work don't matter a damn. This adaptation of Richard Wright's Native Son is an amazing and rare example of classic era film noir featuring black characters. Watching Wright on camera for 90 minutes is fascinating, and the film compromises little of the novel's brutality.
