The Sound of Music 1965
My all time favourite film. the technicolour makes it so nostalgic - an all time comfort film. The shots of the Austrian countryside are stunning. It has so much imagery and it presents a complex and ultimately sad story it a very simple and childlike way. the themes are so important, like religion, class and freedom. the hopeful ending is very beautiful.
