Hitler through a child's eyes is a simple and effective concept. The tonal shifts are done as well as possible in this movie, which flows from mundane to dramatic in such a way where it feels as if it's a child's brain wrapping his mind around right and wrong. In an environment which reminds the viewer of daily life, the aspects of realness(and what is real to a child) come in ways that would genuinely be impactful to a kid or adult alike.
Amazing script. The best buddy comedy of this century. Both lead performances are amazing as well as the teenage side characters. The action is done hilariously and effectively. The growth of the dynamic between the two leads is something that feels natural in its beginning to end.
