This movie might seem super cheesy to some but I teared up several times, the altruistic Mexican family were so sweet and likeable plus the cutest stray cat that the whole neighbourhood seemed so oblivious to! It’s hard not to feel cynical because it perpetuates the idea of a long term, dedicated love that I don’t think is actually that common in real life but I enjoyed living in this world for a bit.

The intense obsession to be friends with the older lady is never completely explained but it feels more genuine than the “love” that Anorra claimed to have for her Russian husband. Was amazed to learn that this was the older actresses first and only film role, there’s hope at 85 to break into show business!
