Eyes Without a Face 1960
[originally watched jan 9.] this is technically a 3.9! my second nouvelle vague film aaaahhh. it kind of reminded me of “a face of another”, which i watched sometime last week, i think. genuinely love this trope of film: facially disfigured person and their perception of themselves, society’s perception of them, and their perception of how perceives them. usually a trope found in horror/drama media anyway. very intriguing to watch and it’s always interesting to see how the each director deals with all the themes.
