  I liked the idea but there were a lot of important things that went unexplained or didn’t make sense. It did a good job at the key story beats but the connecting parts needed work to bring the story together.

  This was a fun movie with beautiful imagery and fun practical effects. I liked the devil puppet costume. I watched it on a scratched DVD so I missed some important parts which made it a bit confusing.

  I didn’t enjoy watching this movie. I like the concept and aesthetic but the pacing was off and the leads did not have chemistry. There were a lot of shaky handheld shots on the beach where they turned up the volume on the wind and water which was not a pleasant sensory experience. +1 star for merkin moment

  I enjoyed watching this movie. it was a touching story about the different forms family and love can take. It’s a longer film but has good pacing and really fills the full 2.5 hours well. Good soundtrack.
