Really lovely & life affirming.
I don’t think I can muster any meaningful commentary to add. The film says it all.
This is a movie I’d love to be able to cut up and see what an “only color” or “only b&w” cut would elicit out of me emotionally.

Boy. This movie is like a lean steak cooked well done. A whole lot to chew on.
I can’t remember the last time I watched something so politically and morally ambiguous while still leaving no doubt in my mind that it was a powerful work of art. A painful & challenging mediation on trauma: how we process it, how don’t, and how it shapes ourselves and the world we leave behind.
Perhaps a double screen of A Real Pain and The Brutalist is in order!
